My friend needs a floating city for his VJ work, so he commissioned me to draw one. I chose to draw the Old City of Jerusalem. I call it:
"Jerusalem: The Rats are leaving the floating Ship".
The "rats" in this case, are the bone-headed ultra-orthodox Jews and the die-hard Muslims who can't agree who the city belongs to. The huge cat represents the huge cat population. Of course, donkey and camel are indispensable when drawing Jerusalem.
If I were to pick who the city belongs to - the cats. Or the moderate Israelis. Neither to the extremist Jews, nor to the extemist Muslims. I don't like religious zealots, no matter what god they pray to.
None of my artwork is to be used to illustrate hate speech, slander, (blood) libel, sedition/incitement, or other kinds of malicious use to misrepresent, abuse, accuse or otherwise attack:
-animals -woman's rights -LGBT rights -the Jewish people -Israel and its people and defenders
Such use is explicitely prohobited, while I thought I could trust the judgement of adults without needing to stress it. As the one and only owner of the rights to my pictures, sharing them (the rights) with deviantART itself only, not the community, this is a legitimate demand to make and legally enforcable.
I love the Jerusalem, the atmosphere of that city is amazing And so true about the cats, they are everywhere, One was even stalking my falafel... Stupid kitten XD But I was for 3 days there and I haven't seen any donkeys. Did they die off?
Cute and surreal at the same time. I love Jerusalem (even if I have been there only shortly) and I completely agree with your comment below the picture.
good drawing, sadly, the ones who leave this city in reality are the moderate Israelis whiles the ones who over populate the city are the orthodox one, Jerusalem is getting black...
