Moshe at the Red Sea by AnnaGiladi Moshe at the Red Sea by AnnaGiladi
This was half a year ago. A few days eaylier, we'd found him on the street in Haifa. Eversince, Moshe was with us where ever we went. Here, he's complaining about the weather in Eilat. He was about 4 weeks old, blind, could hardly walk or defecate and we constantly had to accept the possibility of waking up one morning and find our baby dead.
However... [link] and click the video titled Moshe :)

so sad to know after all he'd survived that this awful disease took him ... but it is awesome to know that while this little guy lived, he lived warm, loved and non-hungry (lol at the word) ... what a wonderful thing you did to rescue him and give him a life he would never have gotten otherwise.

I know, I kind of saw him as a superhero I guess, for all the things he's been through. I expected him to go out with a blast, die the way he lived. And then this ridiculous virus got him, and it got him so fast. He was sick for only 4 days when he died. He didn't even seem to fight. That was the worst part of it, how easily it defeated him. But I'm still so happy for all the good times we had. When I think of the nonsense he did, I can't stop laughing. Once he got lost and someone told me of a cat who.. walked up to her dad and bit him. I KNEW it was Moshe

Thanks :) Moshe will always be missed, but it's a great consolation knowing he had a good life and he went knowing he was loved.

It was very compassionate of you to take him in. I love cats also. We have a Siamese {not full, no crosseyes and crooked tail } and a big fat dark grey that eats more than Garfield. It was good of you to save this poor baby.

Cute, even though you should give him a little more to it, poor starving cat!

He wasn't eating well at that time and hardly cooperated with us trying to save him. We actually bought him the finest fish paste, goose liver, yogurt and ofcourse cat food, but he was badly constipated and very weak, it was really hard to get anything into him. Or so we thought. The vet then offered him luxury cat food called "Fancy Feast" (it doesn't get anymore expensive) and, blind and with his nose blocked, he still found it without searching. Diagnosis: "He's just spoiled". Bastard.
But look at him now :D [link]

Awww!

There are so many street cats in Israel that aren't taken care of ...and are in bad condition... it's so sad. ;-;
Moshe is a very lucky cat. :D

I have to admit that not alot in this world can make me cry, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for animals and hearing about little Moshe and seeing that video made me tear up.

I'm really glad that you were able to save him.

There's a little stray I have been helping. I can't bring him in because I am extremely allergic, even after bathing a cat I get sick. (If I go to a friends house who doesn't bathe his cats but once every two weeks my eyes swell shut).
This little Siamese I leave food out for and set up a sheltered bed outside is tiny. He is fully grown but about half the size of any of the other strays here. He's MEAN looking, though. I mean downright evil looking. He'll walk up to you, make DIRECT eye contact and:
"Meeeeep." Hedoesn't even meow. More of a squeek. He's a friendly little thing, though.
That's a cute kitten. Even with his eye problems, at least they can be fixed. A gentle little soul like that getting a new chance at life is very heartwarming. The poor little thing never hurt anyone, he deserves to be treated like a living being.

Oh he does hurt people... alot.... very playful :D

But the Siamese has got to be cute! I love Siamese, my Mii-Cat is a Siamese crossbred and has that typical jealous and arrogant character  It's great you take care of him dispite your allergy!

Ah, litte thing gets a little happy with the claws and the teeths? Heh,
That little Siamese is cute. I keep watch out for him, fortunately it doesn't get very cold here. It doesn't get below freezing much. It's December and the lawn is green. He gets spooked so easy, though. If he recognizes you he'll be friendly but if you sneak up on him he'll dart away.
So any thoughts on the pic, BTW? I haven't gotten a note or anything. (No rush, just making sure things are coo')

That would be an idea... I also thought of her standing on him like a game hunter on his prey, because sweet Dusty went easy on her and got (I hate that word) pwned :lmao:

That sounds good, too! At one point she does get her hands on the poor guy. As much to get what she wants out of him as it was to get his friends necks in her noose.
